Chandler, who has a record of 2-4, was meant to fight McGregor last year, but the UFC legend pulled out due to a toe injury.
He now faces Merseyside-born star Pimblett who has won all six of his professional bouts and is aiming to move into title contention.
The pair clash in the co-main event of UFC 314, fighting before Alexander Volkanovski looks to reclaim his title against Diego Lopes.
