Spain U21 vs England U21 prediction
England were well beaten by Germany in the end on Wednesday evening going down a goal early on from a great passage of play.
They then conceded again just after the half hour mark and Germany from then on knew they could hold onto the lead to guarantee top spot in the group stages to get the better draw in the quarters.
Spain however haven’t been as straightforward as they could have been.
Winning narrowly over Romania and Slovakia, by a goal, 2-1 and 3-2 respectively.
Spain were lucky to get the win too, needing a very late two goals to seal the victory from a goal down.
With the first directly after Romania went down a man when Vladislav Blanuta was sent off in the 84th minute.
Spain pounced after that with two quick goals. They do remain unbeaten in the group stages though and that of course counts for a lot.
They held Italy to a 1-1 draw where it was exactly how the score suggests, a close game with both sides not quite edging the other.
That said, England U21 are bigger than 2/1 to win and the same price to grab a draw, the latter of which appeals the most after the form they’ve both shown so far.

A draw looks a great price considering there’s no certainty with these two sides.
Both have disappointed and both have done the job throughout the group stages, Spain have just got the better of two teams narrowly, escaping the draw on two occasions.
England may find themselves lucky to be here now and can now go all out to get into the semi-finals – in fact they could get through to the final four with only one 90 minute win to their name.
England were unfortunate not to get more from their trip against Germany, though the opposition did go very defensive.
That’s where I think they can cause trouble for Spain and as they settle more into this competition, they should take their chances.
But Spain of course have scored plenty in this competition so there could be a couple of goals in this clash too.
