We have finally reached the final day of Royal Ascot 2025, and it’s fair to say that it has been a rollercoaster of a week.
Hard luck stories, terrible rides, crazy results, and the odd superstar performance has been the story of Royal Ascot.
With that, lets finish on a high and go out on top.

2:30 Listed Chesham Stakes– 7f
The Chesham will be one of the very few two-year-old races this week that will now be spread far and wide across Ascot, which should play to a race with no hard luck stories.
Moments Of Joy was the second string of the Ballydoyle runners on debut. The son of Justify was headed but showed a good attitude to fight back when headed, winning by a half-length.
However, the Charlie Appleby-trained TREANMOR looked a serious prospect when making a winning debut at Newmarket. The son of Frankel travelled with authority throughout his debut and put the race to bed with ease at the furlong pole. Godolphin look to have a serious prospect on their hands, and Treamor should prove hard to beat here.

3:05 Group 2 Hardwick Stakes – 1m4f
The late withdrawal of Kalpana has given the Hardwick Stakes a more open look to it now. Rebel’s Romance drops back in trip after stretching his stamina over 2f further in the Yorkshire Cup. The Godolphin globe trotter is a multiple Group 1 winner outside of the UK, and he’s a massive player at this level.
He will prove hard to beat if at his best, but a chance is taken that AL RIFFA can get back to his bet over the Hardwick Stakes trip. He has been over this trip twice in his career, winning by five lengths in the Group 1 Grosser Preis von Berlin in Germany, and then found the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe too much on his next start.
He didn’t go unbacked for the Arc, and was sent off 9/1. This season’s comeback run confirmed that a step up in trip would be just around the corner with a strong staying fourth in the Group 1 Prix Ganay over 1m2f. This five-year-old is relatively lightly raced, and we may not have seen the best of him just yet.

3:40 Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes – 6f
The former Australian sprinter Storm Boy was all the talk before making his debut for Aidan O’Brien, but the debut run couldn’t have been more underwhelming, as he eventually dropping to last of the nine runners.
However, with that said, you can expect to see a different showing here from the Ballydoyle runner. But even so, it is hard to make a strong case for Storm Boy on the back of his run at the Curragh. The French runner Lazzat showed his blistering pace when winning at Listed level on his seasonal return, and this Grade 1 winner is not easily overlooked.
Last season’s easy Commonwealth Cup winner, INISHERIN, looks to have his perfect conditions to make it back-to-back Royal Ascot wins. This big, imposing sprinter made a winning return in the Group 2 Clipper Stakes at York. It was a gritty performance as he was off the bridle from a long way out and looked as if he took a blow before holding off the challenge of Flora Of Bermuda.
There is no doubt that he will come on for that run and be at peak fitness. Today’s race should be a case of Inisherin tracking what is likely to be a strong pace, picking up the leaders, and winning his race inside the final furlong.

4:20 Group 3 Jersey Stakes – 7f
Remmooz is the obvious starting point. The son of Blue Point is a perfect two from two with both wins coming at Doncaster. His debut win in novice company has worked out well, and he backed that up with an impressive win at the beginning of the month.
We have only scratched the surface with Remmooz, but at 5/1, I want to look elsewhere. Anno Domini is interesting coming in here. He was two from three last season, with his only defeat coming in the Group 1 Futurity Trophy Stakes on soft ground. He was turned over at 6/5 on his seasonal bow but looks sure to come forward for that run and is a key player here.
But SEAGULLS ELEVEN may be worth taking a chance with at big odds. Seagulls Eleven has been highly tried in his career to date. His last four starts have all been at Group 1 level, where he has run well in the main. Nothing went right for him in the 2000 Guineas. He ducked at the start, got lit up, and his race was run well before halfway.
Since that run, he has been gelded, and with that now behind him, we may be about to see Seagulls Eleven finally put it all together. He’s a bit risky, but there’s no doubt that he has the talent to be a major player now that he’s taken a significant drop in grade.

There are many runners in here with standout claims, and given the results in races of this nature over the last four days, it’s nearly impossible to dismiss any runner with confidence. More Thunder is two from two since arriving at William Haggas, and he looks well-suited to what is needed to win a race of this nature.
He meets Aramram once again, but this time, they meet on the same terms, which would suggest that More Thunder will uphold that form. The one who looks to be sticking out like a sore thumb is the Craven Stakes winner, SYMBOL OF HONOUR.
Symbol Of Honour has Royal Ascot experience under his belt, and that came in last season’s Group 3 Coventry Stakes, where he was only beaten just over one length in the end. The Godolphin runner has had three runs already this season, all in May, and if this isn’t one race too many in a short space of time, then this clear highest-rated runner is a standout each way bet.

Should Archivist get in (first reserve), he brings a different dynamic to how this could play out after a powerful front-running win at Leicester at the beginning of the month.
The newly purchased Wathnan Racing runner Best Secret looked good when getting off the mark on the fifth attempt, but he has yet to encounter ground conditions as fast as he will at Ascot. I nearly sided with Seraph Gabriel, who looks ready for a step up in the trip, and he is a treat to all over a trip that should bring out more improvement.
However, Johnny Murtagh brings over DAKOTA BLUE, and he looks very interesting at a big odds. He was unlucky on his latest start when just failing to run down Sunriseontheboyne, but he travelled powerfully throughout the race and left the impression that there is a lot more to come. At the prices, he looks too big to go unbacked.
DAKOTA BLUE
- Trainer: Johnny Murtagh

6:10 Queen Alexandra Stakes – 2m5½f
Stamina and the will to win will be tested to the max in the longest race at Royal Ascot. National Hunt/dual-purpose trainers have dominated the Queen Alexandra Stakes in recent years, and this year, that trend will continue. And just like bumpers throughout the national hunt season, this looks to be a case of ‘back Willie’s in the last’.
The master of Closutton runs former Group 2 winner and now-winning hurdler SOBER. He’s a six-time winner on the flat when trained in France, and this highly-tried flat recruit looks set to make it two-from-two for the UK and Irish Champion National Hunt trainer. If Samui doesn’t find this coming too fast after his third in the Copper House Stakes on Tuesday, then the Gordon Elliott-trained six-year-old can follow home the strongly fancied favourite.
