Dublin advanced to the last eight of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship with an unconvincing three-point victory over Cork in their preliminary quarter-final at Croke Park on Saturday evening.
The announcement that Dublin captain and talisman Con O’Callaghan would not be togging out brought a hush to a Hill 16 still basking in the success of the county’s hurlers’ surprise win against Limerick.
