Shane Walsh said the backing of his teammates had helped him through uncertain form in recent matches, speaking after delivering his best performance of the championship at Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday evening.
Walsh scored 0-9, including 0-6 from play, as Galway won 2-22 to 0-27 in a thrilling final round-robin rematch against Armagh. The result earned them an All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final against Down this weekend.
