GAA fixtures chief Brian Carroll has staunchly defended the decision to fix yesterday’s All-Ireland SFC group showdown between Donegal and Mayo for ‘neutral’ Roscommon.
Carroll, who is chairperson of the Central Competitions Control Committee but also chair of Roscommon GAA, was reacting to the stinging criticism of Donegal boss Jim McGuinness yesterday.
