Daniel Cormier has hit back at Jon Jones after the UFC heavyweight champion claimed he is ‘making your salary in a week’.
‘Bones’ took to social media in response to comments made by Cormier on his ESPN show with Chael Sonnen.

The pair had been vocal about Jones’ absence from the Octagon on Good Guy/Bad Guy in recent weeks.
It has been seven months since his last bout, a technical knockout victory over Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 in November.
Jones has since hinted at retiring from mixed martial arts on multiple occasions.
Meanwhile, a title unification bout against interim champion Tom Aspinall has yet to be announced.
Aspinall recently labelled the title picture a ‘crazy situation’ as his wait to face Jones continues.
The American has now replied to Cormier and Sonnen in a post on X, writing: “Jon Jones whooped both of y’all, but hey–why not team up on a podcast and gossip about his life?
“Meanwhile, he’s out here making your annual salary in a week. Stay busy, boys.”
His outburst caught the attention of former opponent Cormier, who issued a response on his YouTube channel.
The UFC commentator remarked: “It seems as though Jon Jones doesn’t like being talked about by two of the biggest voices in this game, and I’m going to pull the curtain back.”
DC continued: “I know what Jon Jones made in Thailand, I was offered to coach this show with Jon Jones.

“His resume is impeccable, star power, his ability to sell, matches up with anybody in the business. But guess what? Daniel Cormier’s resume matches up with anybody in the business, I bring eyes like other people in the business.
“Jon Jones doesn’t make more money than me in a week! He makes more money than me, when he fights!
“We’re over here eating. The biggest paydays you ever had were directly tied to me!
“I’m talking about you, and I’m getting paid to talk about you, but I don’t fight no more ’cause all I can really do is talk. That’s what I do.
“You fight! Or at least, you’re supposed to fight. You’re talking about me, Francis, Chael, and almost ignoring the right thing. You can then stick it to everybody like you’ve done on so many occasions and tell ’em about it.
“I can tell you guys on good authority, if I was still fighting today, and I was still the heavyweight champion and Tom Aspinall was the number one contender, I would’ve already fought him. One thousand percent.
“Knowing how dangerous, it would’ve done nothing but excite me. This dude Jon Jones is still talking? Come on.”
Cormier and Jones twice met in title bouts during their careers, with the latter winning the first via unanimous decision in 2015.
Jones was also victorious in the rematch two years later before his knockout win was overturned to a no contest after a positive drug test.
It remains unknown whether the 37-year-old will add to his 28-1 (1) record by facing Aspinall.
The Englishman has spent even longer out of the Octagon since defending his interim title in July last year.
Aspinall secured a one-minute knockout victory over Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 in Manchester.
