Juventus were in dominant form on matchday one, as they thrashed Al Ain 5-0 in their opening encounter at the Club World Cup. The Bianconeri will now be looking to make it two wins from two when they take on Wydad AC.
The Moroccan team went down to a 2-0 loss to Manchester City in their first game of the summer. Can they find a way to avoid defeat here?

Juventus vs Wydad AC predictions
Juventus got off to a flyer in their first appearance at the Club World Cup, thrashing Al Ain 5-0 in Washington D.C.
The Bianconeri were four goals to the good by half-time as they outclassed their opponents from the United Arab Emirates. It was an accomplished display from Igor Tudor’s side, who rose to the top of Group G ahead of Manchester City on goal difference.
Juve did not thump many teams in 2024/25. Under Thiago Motta, they seemed to draw every other week. And while they routinely controlled possession, Juve struggled to create clear-cut chances. Theirs was a sterile sort of domination.
Thiago Motta was dismissed in March and replaced by Tudor, who fulfilled his remit of getting the team into the Champions League via a top-four finish.
Tudor oversaw five league wins before the end of the campaign, but three of those were by a one-goal margin while two came by two clear goals.
Juventus certainly deserve credit for demolishing Al Ain last time out, but the result speaks more to the mismatch between the two teams than it does to the Italians’ own excellence.
Stiffer challenges undoubtedly lie ahead for Juventus, who will face Manchester City in their final group game. Even this meeting with Wydad AC will be tougher than their gentle start to the summer tournament against Al Ain.
Wydad lost 2-0 to City last time out. Pep Guardiola’s side took the lead in the second minute, but it was not until the closing stages that they doubled their advantage. Wydad were by no means embarrassed, even though they were second best throughout.
This feels like a make-or-break game for the Moroccans, who surely need to win to stand a chance of making it through to the round of 16. For Juventus, this is an opportunity to keep their bid for top spot in Group G on track ahead of the match against City on Thursday.
“We are going in the right direction,” Tudor said after his team turned on the style against Al Ain. “There’s always things you need to improve upon… a team is a living being, it’s never the same from one day to the next.”
The Juventus manager will hope to see a few more steps forward on Sunday.

Juventus vs Wydad AC betting tips
Juventus and Wydad AC will lock horns in an important Club World Cup game on Sunday.
Juventus to win to nil
Juventus is a club which has long been associated with defensive resolve more than attacking electricity.
There have been exceptions to that pattern, of course, but only Serie A champions Napoli conceded fewer goals in the 2024/25 campaign.
Juve successfully shut Al Ain out earlier this week and they will view a clean sheet as the path towards another victory here.
Wydad AC did not have much of the ball against Manchester City and they will spend most of this game defending as well.
That will help Juve to keep the back door shut.

Juventus to score in both halves
Juventus did not hold back on matchday one, scoring five goals to make a statement of intent against admittedly weak opposition.
The Bianconeri were clinical with the chances that came their way and the club’s fans will have been pleased that they did not take their foot off the gas once ahead.
Tudor will encourage his team to continue in the same vein here, not least because goal difference could determine who wins the group and who finishes second.
Wydad conceded in both halves against Manchester City and there is a good chance the same fate will befall them this weekend.

Randal Kolo Muani to score any time
Randal Kolo Muani and Francisco Conceicao each scored two goals against Al Ain, and we think the former is a smart choice to find the net at Lincoln Financial Field.
Kolo Muani joined Juventus in the winter transfer window and went on to score 10 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions.
The France international looked sharp last time out as Tudor started him up front instead of Dusan Vlahovic.
Of course, there is a chance that Vlahovic will be included in the XI here instead, but Kolo Muani will almost certainly feature in some capacity.
And if he does get on the pitch, the in-form attacker can make his mark once more.
