There is plenty of midweek football action ahead on Wednesday, with Champions League and Conference League qualifiers joining the first of the quarter-finals at the Women’s Euros.
An island of Ireland battle for a place in the second round of Champions League qualifiers will be on the line in Belfast as Linfield host Shelbourne.

Wednesday football betting tips
Bet of the Day – Shelbourne to beat Linfield @ 6/4
Linfield were defeated 1-0 by Shelbourne in Dublin last week and David Healy’s side will attempt to overturn that deficit as they welcome the League of Ireland champions of last season to Windsor Park.
Damien Duff’s recent departure from the Shels hotseat threatened to derail the Tolka Park side but they have actually gathered some much-needed momentum under new manager Joey O’Brien.
The game at Tolka Park provided a second clash between the champions of the Irish Premiership and League of Ireland Premier Division in as many seasons after Shamrock Rovers thumped Larne 4-1 in last year’s Uefa Conference League.
The gulf between the top two tiers in the north and south remains in favour of the latter.
Shels had a penalty award overturned by VAR in the first half in Dublin and Evan Caffrey could have netted a couple of goals before Mipo Odubeko’s winner.
They can showcase their quality with a win in Belfast.
Special of the Day – Dinamo Minsk vs Ludogorets Under 1.5 goals & Over 8.5 corners @ 4/1
Ludogorets carry a single goal advantage into the second leg of their Champions League qualifier against Dinamo Minsk.
Filip Kaloc’s 87th-minute winner was enough to give Ludogorets the upper hand but it was hard work and despite 72 percent possession and 20 shots at goal – just four on target – they almost returned a blank.
This second leg takes place in Hungary, denying Dinamo Minsk home advantage and it could be tough for them to turn things around.
There were 10 corners in the first leg, which is a realistic target again although for this bet we are going over 8.5, but a goal-fest appears unlikely.
Longshot of the Day – Norway to beat Italy 3-1 @ 23/1
The first of the quarter-finals at the Women’s Euros sees Norway facing Italy in Geneva.
The Italians are favourites but Norway’s progress in the tournament has been much more serene with three wins from three in Group A.
Both teams have scored in all three games for the Norwegians, while Italy have notched exactly one goal in all three outings as they finished second to world champions Spain in Group B with a win, a draw and a defeat.
Gemma Grainger’s Norway could prove too potent for the Italians, with Lyon’s Ada Hegerberg a big threat. Both teams have been amongst the goals and a 3-1 Norwegian success is generously priced.
